General Information

The most famous of Parisian passages, Passage des Panoramas was also one of the first establishments of this kind in the world. It was built in 1799–1800 and owes its name to the two rotundas (no longer there) that towered over it, where panoramic views of large cities were presented. Its 19th-century appearance is described in Zola’s novel ‘Nana’.
