General Information

La Cartoucherie is a former munitions factory in the Bois de Vincennes, an English garden in the eastern part of Paris. In 1970, La Cartoucherie was converted by Ariane Mnouchkine into a place of theatre performances of the Théâtre du Soleil, which she founded in 1964 with Philippe Leotard. Nowadays, it’s home to 5 theatres and 3 ateliers.
