This higher education campus was opened in 1959. The campus is generally decribed as an architectural failure. Asbestos in buildings is prohibited in France, but it wasn’t at the time when the campus was being built, so it was extensive used in building. The campus’ asbestos is deemed to have killed 22 people and caused health problems in 130 others.
