General Information

Chapultepec Zoo is one of four zoos located near Mexico City. It was founded in 1923 using donations from private citizens, governmental funds, and also funds from the Society of Biological Studies. Its collection includes over 2000 animals of more than 200 different species. The zoo is especially famous for its three female Giant Pandas.
