Le Théâtre 13 was created in 1981 and funded by the City of Paris. Since its inception, the theatre proposes to discover and follow new talents among directors, actors and authors. With 250 seats in an amphitheatre and no less than 240 performances, around 60,000 spectators attend the theatre every season.
Le Théâtre 13 is one of the few theatres in Paris to devote most of its programming to young companies. The theatre is often nominated for Molière Award, which it obtained, in 2004, for the best show of the Public Theatre (‘Comme en 14!’ by Dany Laurent).
