Six Flags México is one of the most important amusement theme parks in Mexico and the largest one in Latin America. The park contains 47 rides, including 7 roller coasters (including the only wooden one in Middle America) and 2 water rides. It was there at Six Flags México that the famous film “Free Willy” was shot.
The park was originally founded in 1982 as Reino Aventura, a Mexican-owned and run theme park, and has ever since been the largest theme park in Latin America. Under new administration the park’s name was officially changed to Six Flags, and soon afterwards twenty new attractions were added to the park.
