General Information

Assemblée Nationale is the lower house of the French parliament. Its 577 members gather in the Palais Bourbon, the palace built in 1722 for duchesse de Bourbon, the legitimised daughter of Louis XIV. Its impressive baroque form was designed by the Italian architect Lorenzo Giardini. It has been the seat of the National Assembly since 1830.
