Musee de l’Eventail –the private museum of fans exhibits an extensive collection of about 1000 fans from the late 17th century to the present day, along with the tools, workbenches, and materials used in the manufacture process, including mother-of-pearl, ivory, horn, bone, and wood. The museum also includes a workshop.
The museum is housed within two rooms; the showroom with exhibits is furnished in Henry II style, with a monumental fireplace, three chandeliers, blue walls embroidered with fleur-de-lys in gold thread, and walnut furnishings. Although the museum was established in 1993, the showroom itself was founded in 1893 by fan-makers Lepault & Deberghe.
