At the heart of Parc Bercy there is a sublime place called Jardin Yitzhak Rabin. Named in honour of the Prime Minister of Israel, recipient of the Nobel Prize, the park with its bridges, gardens, waterworks and fountains is one of the most tranquil and serene spots in Paris and a good place to unwind.
The Garden of Yitzhak Rabin contains many of the more interesting features of Parc de Bercy; these include a beautiful rose garden with 95 varieties of roses, a series of trellises covered with flowering lines and a Vegetable Garden, maintained and cultivated by the school children of Paris. The park also has wild, woody, overlapping trees, which provide dappled shade, and long, grassy stretches, where families picnic and play.
