The Alberca Olímpica Francisco Márquez , an indoor Olympic swimming pool in Mexico City, can accommodate 10,000 spectators and in 1968 it hosted Summer Olympics for competitions of swimming, diving, water polo, and the swimming part of modern pentathlon. The only Mexican gold medal in Olympic swimming competitions was won at this site.
The swimming pool organises frequent sport events and is a training-site for several sports clubs. Additionally, it also houses a shop with sport equipment and accessories.
