General Information

The Lycée Charlemagne is a school that prepares students for entry to Grandes écoles. It is directly connected to the Collège Charlemagne. The building itself belonged to the Jesuits since the 16th century, but after their expulsion from France in the 18th century, it was turned into a school, renamed and reestablished by Napoleon in 1804.
